In Spring 2025, I took ME565, a vehicle dynamics class by Professor Dan Williams. I found this class very interesting, as it emphasized the importance of being able to utilize mathematical knowledge to build practical simulations. For a few projects, I built 2DOF and 3DOF vehicle models to simulate and analyze how a car will react to driver steering inputs, understeer and oversteer, and how roll-plane movement affects cornering response. I particularly enjoyed these projects, and the write-ups are attached below.
